The math department at UNC-CH will host the AMC-10 B and AMC-12 B contests on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, starting at 6:30 pm, on UNC campus in Phillips Hall room 332. The paper version of the test (not the digital version) will be offered.

The AMC-10 and AMC-12 are 25 question, 75 minute multiple choice examination in high school mathematics containing challenging and interesting problems.  Students across the United States and Canada take this contest every year.  Any students in grade 10 and below can participate in the AMC-10. Any students in grade 12 or below can participate in AMC-12. Calculators are not allowed.

There is no required fee to take the contest at UNC-Chapel Hill; however, a $10 donation to the math department is suggested to help cover the cost of contest materials. Donations can be made at https://give.unc.edu/donate?p=MATH or in person with cash or check made out to UNC Math Department.

Please register to take the AMC-10 or the AMC-12 at UNC.  Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis until capacity is reached.  Capacity is 20 students for the AMC-12 and 40 students for the AMC-10. You will receive details by email about 1 week before the contest.
